Voorschoten - The Horsemarket in Voorschoten was founded in 1282. This year will be the 734th edition on Thursday 28, July. The Horsemarket itself will be held on the Voorstraat. In  the Schoolstraat and Treubplein, there is a general market. In the afternoon, on the Van Beethovenlaan there are horseraces.

The complete programm:
 
06.00-10.00 hrs. Pony and Horse show.

Show only by the area  Voorstraat-Molenlaan. There are no other animals allowed on the market.
 
10.00-13.00 hrs. Pony rides, flying carpet, face painting and ferris wheel rides.
In the Berkhoutpark there will be pony rides for young children.  Free face painting will be done by
Maya-4-kids, there are also other attractions for children.
 
09.00-13.00 hrs. Horse shoe demonstration by a blacksmith.

09.00-16.00 hrs. Market with local produce.

Met openingstoespraak voor het museum in de Voorstraat en het planten van het marktkruis in de marktpaal aan de Treubstraat.
 
12.45-13.45 hrs. Dorpskerk, orgel concert open for the public
 
09.00-13.00 hrs. Church Tower open for the public to climb.
 
11.00-12.00 hrs. Koekslaan in front of the museum
An old fashion game, the first contestant who breaks the biscuit
is the winner!  Bertus The Clown will be there, The 'Koeken' is
provided by Hoogvliet Supermarkten.
 
19.00-21.30 hrs. Evening Programme.
Demonstration with saddled horses from stable "Stal Nico Calis'
work horses with Belgian horses and Voorschoten orchestra 'De Bierbengels'

Voorstraat
Four musicians and three vocalists will be playing
Soul, R & B pop music from past and
present eras in a new and groovy style.

Of course the Horeca will be opened with all the necessary food and beverages.
