Voorschoten - On Sunday 22 May at 15:30 in the Ambachts- & Baljuwhuis with complimentary tea/coffee, the Edelmann Trio presents to the music fans of Voorschoten works by Onslow - also known as the French Beethoven, Edelmann and of course Beethoven.

George Onslow was born in Clermont- Ferrand just before the French Revolution. He studied piano with Jan Ladislav Dušík in Hamburg and Johann Baptist Cramer in London. He also played the cello. Although he's nearly forgotten today he was regarded as an important composer and was even nicknamed "The French Beethoven" in France. In our previous season Onslow was a big success with our public in The Hague. Anyone who missed that evening and those who wish to revisit his music the Edelmann Trio performs works by Onslow next to those of Beethoven and Edelmann. Lucie de Saint Vincent performs on an important early fortepiano brought to Voorschoten from France especially for this concert!
